How To Avoid A DTF White Ink Issue

If you keep the white in the printer for a long time, it may lead to uneven whiteness due to pigment precipitation, and may even cause print holes, oblique spray, or even plugging. Which will affect the print quality. So how to avoid this, the regular maintenance of white ink is important.

Step 1. Shake the White Ink Before Filling the DTF Printer

When you get the white ink, shake the ink bottle up and down before the apply it. Generally, after 20 times the layered ink will remix evenly. If placed for more than three months, the number of shakes doubled, because the white ink is water-based, placed for more than half a month will begin to have the phenomenon of stratification, so for a better printing result, shake it before use.

Step 2. Shake The White Cartridge 1 Time A Day

Shake the DTF white cartridge before you run the DTF printer every day, even though you do not need to do dtf printing.

Step 3. Nozzle Test 1 Time A Day

Open the white ink circulation device, and then test the printing mesh. Print a small pattern (printed several times) to ensure that the printhead works. If the printing mesh did not work, clean the printhead. So why do print tests? If it does not spit the ink out continually, DTF white ink was cured in the print head nozzle.

DTF Printer Maintenance -- Ultimate Guide For Beginners

(1) When you need to change the ink, clean the pipe with pure water, or clean with tap water and then clean again with pure water, do not directly clean with tap water on the ink. Pure water conductivity closer to the ink, can better maintain the stability of the ink. The conductivity of tap water is too high, which has a high level of salt content, and the ink is easy to form crystals in the nozzle and clogs the nozzle.
(2) Set the white ink continuous cycle rather than an interval cycle. The Interval cycle is easy to reflux ink, it is easy to print a black line.
(3) The socket of the ink cartridges should be tight. For water-based inks, especially straight-through nozzles, it is easy to get air in. For example, Epson 4720 and XP600 are straight-through nozzles.
(4)Turn the flash on before printing, when printing the specified color, other print heads are not easy to dry.
(5) Clean printhead and ink tubes regularly. The ink cartridge is recommended to be washed and replaced every two months.
(6) It is better to work in a constant temperature environment. The general temperature is about 77 F and a humidity of 60%. Pay attention to dust and fog. It is recommended to moisturize the printhead after dtf printing if you work in a non-constant temperature environment.
(8) Print one more time to test the printhead before finishing your dtf printing.
